Thirty-five SROs were created to provide 'sober' housing for graduates of SMO's substance abuse programs. The SRO units are located in Palmer and Hardwick, both rural towns approximately 30 minutes from Worcester and Springfield. MHIC provided financing for these projects in 2000.
