The project involves the creation of 20 units of low-income rental housing for families and individuals through the new construction of seven residential townhouse-style buildings at 23 Laurel Street in Northampton, Massachusetts. Twelve units will be targeted to 30% AMI households (to be paired with project based rental subsidies) and eight targeted to 60% AMI households. The development will have set asides for special populations, including four homeless households, three clients of the MA Department of Mental Health through the Facilities Consolidation Fund program (FCF) and two Domestic Violence survivors. Supportive services will be provided. The buildings will be all electric, built with high efficiency construction and will include PV rooftop solar.
