An important goal of this Project for the Town of Sunderland in supporting this project is to maintain the character of North Main Street, which is a National Register Historic District. Rural Development, Inc. (RDI) ’s proposed design maintains the character of the street by preserving the exterior street-facing façade of the existing historic house at 120 N. Main and building a new structure in a location set back from the streetscape of North Main Street.
