Mandela Homes is a fully occupied 276 unit Section 8 development located on two non-contiguous parcels on Washington and Hammond Streets at the juncture of the South End and Lower Roxbury neighborhoods. 269 units will be LIHTC eligible with 28 units below 30% AMI and 241 units below 60% AMI. 7 units will continue as non-LIHTC, but will be income restricted upon turnover at 60% AMI. Overall, Mandela House contains 14 0-BR, 114 1-BR, 58 2-BR, 48 3-BR, and 42 4-BR in two 8 story midrise brick buildings and eight separate 3-4 story brick townhouses.
