Using MHIC’s LIHTC investment, the two buildings that comprise this project – one on Kenilworth Street and the other on Williams Street -- were acquired by the sponsors from HUD in 2008. Both buildings have since been completely rehabilitated to provide 37 units of Section 8 subsidized housing and one market rate unit. The project was financed through the sale of taxable bonds. It also received state and federal historic tax credits.
