Acquisition & moderate rehabilitation of 5 buildings containing 19 residential units and 5 commercial spaces (6,925 s.f.). A 20th unit will be added. 13 of the 20 units affordable to LIHTC-eligible households; the other 7 units rented at market rates. The City awarded 5 PB Section 8 vouchers to serve extremely low-income households, which were cancelled due to HUD budget cuts. The property was acquired as a result of an unsual three-way land swap agreement in 2001 with Harvard University and Brigham and Women's Hospital to allow for both a new medical center and the preservation of affordable housing.
