The revitalization of Roxbury's Dudley Square will be enhanced by redevelopment of this architecturally-distinctive building, vacant for 20 years, and a contiguous property. The property will be redeveloped into 37 housing units, 60% of which will be affordable. The one-story building that adjoins the Hotel will be renovated and will continue to serve as retail space. MHIC is participating ($850,000) in an acquisition loan form The Life Initiative. Construction is expected to be completed in 2004.
