Lynn YMCA

Lynn, MA
United States

Built in 1974, the existing Lynn Y’s outdated facilities were not able to accommodate the need for new and expanded programs identified through a multi-year community outreach and project planning effort. MHIC provided $4.85 million in NMTC financing as one of four CDEs financing the construction of a new $25.4 million, 70,000- square foot building on an adjacent parcel acquired from the city of Lynn. The original facility will eventually be renovated in a subsequent phase and used primarily as a Youth Development Center.
