Comprehensive Community Development: MHIC President and CEO Moddie Turay Speaks at Fort Lauderdale Summit

Earlier this month, our President and CEO, Moddie Turay, delivered the keynote address at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce’s "Access to Capital Summit." His presentation, "Comprehensive Community Development: Building Wealth and Opportunity for Individuals and Families," explored how MHIC’s 35 years of investment in affordable housing and economic development have created lasting impact across New England.

He highlighted the transformation of Roxbury, Massachusetts, a community where MHIC has invested more than $379 million to produce or preserve 3,629 homes and 1.2 million square feet of commercial space, as a model for equitable, inclusive growth.

It was an inspiring opportunity to share how place-based investment can expand access to capital, create pathways to ownership, and build stronger, more resilient communities.
