As President and CEO of MHIC, he oversees more than $1.44 billion in assets and directs initiatives that invest approximately $200 million annually in transformative development across New England. Previously, Moddie founded City Growth Partners in Detroit and served as Executive Vice President at the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, leading over $2 billion in development initiatives.

William Thompson

Bill Thompson joined MHIC in 1992 and is responsible for managing financial operations and back-office functions. He oversees all accounting, business planning, budgeting, and financial reporting. He also manages cash flow to support company operations and program financing, oversees audit processes, and ensures federal guideline compliance.

Leslie Reid has over 30 years of affordable housing, commercial, and community development experience in private, public and non-profit sectors. In her current role, she focuses on market growth, expansion, and new product and program development. She also oversees all investments and the Community Impact program.

Sean Beirne

Sean Beirne joined MHIC in July 2023 and is currently Director of Capital Development. He is responsible for identifying and securing institutional capital for the company’s multi-investor and proprietary fund offerings and managing all aspects of investor relations. Sean has over twelve years of finance experience with a focus on real estate investment and development. Sean has held positions at organizations, including Citizens Bank, Boston Financial Investment Management, and Berkeley Point Capital.

Kady Coulibaly

As the Senior Human Resources Officer, Kady is a strategic partner to the leadership team regarding employee relations, benefit programs, compensation, talent acquisition, development and retention, and organizational culture. As such, she is responsible for guiding, shaping, and overseeing the implementation of HR functions and policies across the organization and ensuring effective communication about those policies.

Charles Edwards

Charles Edwards joined MHIC in April 1999 as a Finance Specialist. He was promoted to Senior Financial Officer in 2007 and currently serves as the company’s Director of Finance. Charles is responsible for the effective execution of the accounting, cash management and monitoring of all financial processes within the organization. He also oversees and manages the company’s benefits program. Charles is a graduate of Virginia Tech University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Business Management and Finance.

John Fitterer is a nonprofit executive with 25 years of experience in marketing, communications, IT, and business development. As Strategic Communications and Marketing Officer at MHIC, he leads both the IT and Marketing and Communications programs, integrating technology with strategic outreach to strengthen brand visibility, stakeholder engagement, and operational efficiency.

David Mastroianni

David Mastroianni joined MHIC as a Senior Asset Management Officer in October 2022. David brings to MHIC 20 years’ real estate asset management experience across the multifamily and commercial arenas, as well as experience in real estate accounting. Prior to joining MHIC, David worked at Wells Fargo Bank where he was responsible for a regional portfolio of affordable multifamily assets. His experience also includes 8+ years in asset management and accounting with New Boston Fund, Inc.

Beth brings over 20 years of experience executing complex real estate strategies in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

Travis Watson

Travis Watson is passionate about affordable housing development as a solution to the ongoing housing crisis and a driver of job creation. Throughout his career, he has expanded his efforts to increase access to construction jobs, first as a community organizer leveraging projects for local employment, then citywide as a commissioner overseeing workforce policies, and now across New England as MHIC’s Director of Community Impact. Since joining MHIC in 2016, he has supported over 100 projects, helping direct nearly a quarter of a billion dollars to businesses in the industry.
