With $5.6 million in Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) financing from MHIC, Father Bill’s & MainSpring, Inc., an innovative Massachusetts nonprofit whose mission is to combat homelessness in Southeastern MA, is constructing Broad Street Housing in Quincy, a 20,144 SF building offering 30 affordable efficiency apartments for individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Broad Street Housing is the second phase of the development. Phase I is a 15,781 SF Housing Resource Center to provide emergency shelter, a medical clinic, and a range of services to the homeless population. Providing this array of comprehensive services for residents will ensure that they have the tools to successfully transition from homelessness to stable permanent housing.
