MHIC, Fleet Bank and the MHP Fund teamed up in 2001 to provide a total of $17.5 million to the Mishawum Park Tenants Association for rehabilitation of this 337-unit apartment complex. This project was built in 1973 under the HUD Section 236 program, but fell into disrepair and then was purchased, with HUD financing, by the tenants association in 1997. To supplement the HUD grant, the tenant's association secured financing from the above sources.
